Juara Taekwondo Junior Dunia 2026 – The Blues meraih dua medali pada pertengahan pekan di Tashkent: perak untuk Nolhan Rosemond dan perunggu untuk Leyna Beduel.
November lalu Tim taekwondo Prancis memenangkan dua medali Kejuaraan Junior Eropa lima bulan kemudian. Jumlah ini sama selama ini Kejuaraan Dunia Junior dari Tashkent (Uzbekistan), meski kompetisi masih berlangsung.
Rosemond dan Beduel melakukan debut untuk The Blues di Tashkent
Setelah memulai minggu ini tanpa hasil yang meyakinkan. Delegasi Perancis juga membuka serangan balik pada pertengahan pekan. Pada hari Rabu, juara Prancis itu memiliki harapan -46 kg. Laina Bedueladalah orang pertama yang mampu membedakan dirinya dengan berat -44kg saat ia hampir tereliminasi di final ke-32 melawan lawannya dari Ukraina. Di kelas berat 63kg, ia berlari dengan solid. Dengan mendominasi lawannya hingga babak final. Hanya orang Iran Parsa HusyyarJuara Dunia Kadet mampu menggulingkannya. Kalah di final, Rosemond pergi dengan medali perak yang berharga.
Dengan dua koin ini rekor Perancis sudah positif di Junior Worlds. Hal ini juga dapat ditingkatkan. Alissia Burj SakoWanita Prancis terakhir akan berkompetisi di Tashkent Jumat ini.
